Typhoon Dolphin disrupts operations in China
10 August 2026
We would like to inform you of the operational disruptions in Central and North China brought about by Typhoon Dolphin, to help you better prepare and adjust plans accordingly.
Shanghai and Ningbo Port disruptions
From 1200h, 8 August 2026, all container terminals, general cargo terminals, and public container yards within the port area suspended all outdoor loading/unloading operations, container pick-up/drop-off services, and gate-in/gate-out activities.
Resumption time will be notified separately based on actual typhoon conditions and road recovery status. Operations are expected to gradually resume later as weather improves. Please stay tuned for further notices or contact the terminal customer service hotlines for confirmation.
Vessel schedule delays
Ships navigating through the typhoon-affected waters (eastern and northern South China Sea, Bashi Channel, etc.) are likely to alter their route, slow down, or seek shelter to avoid hazards. This may result in departure, arrival, and transshipment delays for both inbound and outbound shipments. Please expect vessel delays this week.
Flight delays
We have not received notifications of flight cancellations, but please expect flight delays and backlogs ex Pudong and Ningbo airports this week.
For more information, please contact your local Toll Global Forwarding representative.
