Typhoon approaching Taiwan disrupts operations
12 November 2025
As Typhoon Fung-Wong is expected to make landfall in Taiwan tonight (12 November 2025), disruptions are expected:
Ocean Freight
- All container yards in Taichung and Kaohsiung are closed, and terminal operations are suspended today.
- Vessels navigating through the weather-affected waters are likely to alter their route, slow down, or seek shelter to avoid hazards. This may result in delays for inbound, outbound, and transhipped shipments. Please expect vessel delays this week.
Air Freight
A limited number of cancellations and delays have been reported as air freight is processed in northern Taiwan.
