Operational impact of Typhoon Saudel

Please be aware that Typhoon Saudel may impact operations across parts of China and Taiwan between 27 and 28 August 2026.
Operational impact by location
Fujian Province (Xiamen and Fuzhou)
Typhoon Saudel is expected to affect the Fujian coast.
Potential impacts include:
- Port operation suspensions
- Trucking disruptions
- Vessel delays and schedule adjustments
While our local team currently reports no impact to Xiamen port operations, the situation remains under review.
Zhejiang Province (Ningbo)
Ningbo may be affected.
Potential impacts include:
- Port operation suspensions
- Trucking disruptions
- Vessel delays and schedule adjustments
Shanghai
Forecast models indicate the typhoon may track further north following its passage through Fujian, creating the potential for disruption in the Shanghai area.
While no operational disruption has been reported at this stage, schedule changes and delays may occur should the storm continue on a northerly track.
Guangdong Province (Yantian and Shekou)
Current forecasts suggest limited impact to operations in Guangdong Province. While peripheral rainfall is expected, no significant disruption to port operations is currently anticipated.
Taiwan
Taiwan may be affected.
At present:
- No port or airport suspensions have been reported
- Operations remain normal
- No material operational disruption is currently anticipated
