Operational impact of Mount Anak Krakatau eruption

6 September 2026

As volcanic activity at Mount Anak Krakatau intensifies, volcanic ash has spread across surrounding regions, including the Greater Jakarta area. Consequently, aviation authorities have temporarily suspended flight operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) until further notice.

With the operational suspension at CGK, delays are expected across air freight services. Regional ground transport may also experience disruption where air quality, visibility, or local conditions impact operations.

We are monitoring the situation and will update as it develops.
