New tax in China on domestic services, effective 15 May 2026

Please be advised that, in accordance with China's national VAT laws and regulations and the latest tax administration requirements, VAT will be extended beyond customs brokerage as follows, from 15 May 2026:
- CFS charges and warehousing fees will be subject to 6% VAT.
- Domestic transportation charges will be subject to 9% VAT.
Please note that Tianjin is excluded from this change. Local charges in Tianjin remain subject to 6% VAT since guidance issued by the local taxation bureau in 2025.
