Import congestion at Manila airport
26 June 2026
Please be advised that air import operations at Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) are currently experiencing congestion due to reduced cargo-handling capacity resulting from warehouse closures and ongoing airport redevelopment activities.
With increased cargo volume being handled by the remaining facilities, delays may occur in cargo processing, locating, and release.
The Bureau of Customs – NAIA has extended warehouse operating hours (0700h–2100h daily, including weekends) and encourages cargo releases between 0700h and 1300h to help ease congestion.
We recommend allowing additional lead time for customs clearance, cargo release, and delivery arrangements for Manila-bound air shipments.
Please contact your local Toll Global Forwarding representative if you require any assistance.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide further updates as developments arise.
