Toll Government and Defence has been named as a finalist in the Australian Defence Industry Awards 2024 for Prime Contractor of the Year.

The Australian Defence Industry Awards is an exciting nationwide recognition program showcasing outstanding individuals and businesses positively shaping the growth and development of Australia’s defence sector.

The prestigious event offers leading professionals and their businesses the opportunity to highlight their achievements, build exposure, and support the expansion of their careers and companies.

This national awards program – which culminates in the black-tie gala event in Canberra – helps to forge closer connectivity in the sector and give greater visibility to the business of defence in Australia.

The finalist list, announced on Thursday, 16 May 2024, features 212 high-achieving professionals and businesses across 28 categories.

Securing a place as a finalist is widely recognised as a remarkable achievement in the defence industry. It signifies the resolute determination and steadfast commitment of individuals, teams, and businesses playing a pivotal role in propelling the industry forward.

Liam Garman, Editor of Defence Connect, said: “These awards are the defence industry’s most important accolade, celebrating those professionals and businesses who have gone above and beyond to support Australia’s national security.

“Amid worsening geostrategic circumstances in the Indo-Pacific region, there has never been a more important time to applaud the industry’s best and brightest – from Academic of the Year to Engineer of the Year, and from SMEs to primes.

Franca Napoli, General Manager of Managed Services at Toll Government and Defence, said she was immensely proud to be named as a finalist in the Australian Defence Industry Awards 2024, especially after winning the category at the 2023 awards ceremony. “To be nominated as a finalist for the Prime Contractor of the Year award for the fourth consecutive year, is a fantastic reward for all our team members across the country.

“Winning this award last year was a significant achievement and milestone for all of us. On reflection it fuelled our collective fire to continue to deliver the best experience we possibly can for ADF members.

“We’re as committed and passionate as ever and this latest recognition for our excellent contribution to the Australian defence sector reinforces the strength of our service and dedication to connecting with the community and engaging with clients,” Franca said.
