On October 29, Toll Group proudly hosted 23 representatives from leading Japanese companies for an exclusive tour of its advanced logistics facilities in Melbourne, organised with the support of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Melbourne (JCCIM). The visit provided a unique opportunity to experience Toll’s cutting-edge operations and reinforced the company’s commitment to building strong partnerships with Japanese businesses in Australia.
Delegates from industries including automotive, healthcare, industrials, steel, finance, insurance, human resources, and technology were given a firsthand look at three key sites: the Retail and Consumer facilities in Truganina and the Healthcare site near Melbourne Airport. Senior Toll leaders guided the visit, sharing insights into the company’s capabilities and its role in delivering world-class supply chain solutions.
The event showcased Toll’s investment in automation and innovation, including advanced warehousing technologies such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), which are transforming operational efficiency and setting new benchmarks for logistics excellence. By opening its doors to the Japanese business community, Toll aimed to deepen understanding of its capabilities and foster relationships that may lead to future collaboration and growth opportunities.
“We are delighted to welcome the delegates to Melbourne and provide a firsthand look at how Toll is driving the future of logistics from our home base in Australia. Through today’s engagement, supported by JCCIM, we were able to showcase our automated warehousing capabilities including AGVs, as well as several of our key operational sites across Melbourne. We hope this visit deepens the understanding of Toll’s capabilities and opens the door to future collaborations and new opportunities with Japanese companies operating in Australia and beyond.”, said Mikiyasu Yuasa, Executive Director of Toll Group.
Guests praised the professionalism and innovation demonstrated during the tours, noting that it was a valuable opportunity to see Toll’s operations at ground level.
