Australian logistics giant Toll Group supports in expanding international containerised freight routes

Toll Group is a key partner in the recently established commercial container shipping route that transports cargo direct from Singapore to Dampier in the state’s north.

This solution provides our operators and suppliers in remote parts of North-West Australia with the opportunity to move materials and goods to and from Singapore for a fraction of the time and cost of the usual supply chain channels.

This means that importers and exporters will have better access to international markets and more efficient ways to move freight.

We're proud to support this solution with access to the Toll Dampier Supply Base, with its established quarantine facilities and Approved Arrangement in place to accommodate commodity importation.

Cheaper and more environmentally friendly through Shareconomy

It’s encouraging that the launch of our Shared Vessel Service from Toll Dampier Supply Base has prompted new ideas with our customers which has, in turn, broadened the offering of this direct to Asia service.

At Toll, we’re on a mission to help move the businesses that move the world with initiatives that include the move to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by removing the reliance on road transportation in the logistics network.

Chris Trowbridge, General Manager Upstream Oil and Gas in Global Logistics Energy at Toll Group says, “This service allows direct entry of material and freight to Dampier, reducing the double and triple handling of freight out of Perth, simplifying and re-risking the supply chain”.

Going beyond Singapore and Australia

Partnering with a global supply chain enables businesses to move their goods beyond Singapore and Western Australia.

As one of the largest Ocean Freight Forwarders in Asia Pacific, Toll provides a global network with offshore bases and logistics sites across the Asia Pacific, Europe and America, linking supply chains across multiple geographies.

Toll has been providing logistics services to the energy industry for more than 30 years. After acquiring the Dampier Supply Base in 2017, we’ve continued to invest in reinvigorating and upgrading the facility given the important role it plays in connecting the industry to the region and beyond.
