To support 1500 ADF personnel deployed in Timor Leste, we provided a complete base garrison solution combining aviation and fuel services.
When civil unrest broke out in Timor Leste in 2006, the Australian Defence Force (ADF) deployed 1500 personnel to assist with peacekeeping activities. The ADF needed full camp support logistics at short notice and under extremely challenging conditions.
Toll was engaged by the ADF to provide complete camp logistics support. We quickly mobilised personnel and resources to establish fully operational services within a short time frame. The solution we provided included hospital and medical services with fully equipped operating theatres, food catering with HACCP Food Safety Accreditation, a supply chain for both food and fuel and aviation support services, including fly-in fly-out personnel rotation and helicopter services.
Toll successfully provided camp support logistics for the ADF in Timor Leste from 2006 until 2013 when troops were withdrawn. During that time, ADF personnel levels fluctuated between 1200 and 1500. Regardless of numbers, Toll provided the ADF with the highest level of service possible. Having the flexibility to evolve with the changing needs of the ADF allowed us to consistenly ensure reliable, uninterrupted services were maintained.
