Toll’s future leaders graduate at global virtual ceremony

Singapore based Benjamin Yeo was named Toll’s 2020 Graduate of the Year for his leadership and collaborative approach during his 12-month rotation program. The Graduate of the Year was announced recently at a graduation ceremony marking the official completion of the program for the 2018 Toll Graduates team. During this unprecedented time, our leaders, graduates, rotation managers and various business partners from across Australia, Singapore and New Zealand, came together for a virtual graduation ceremony, to commemorate and congratulate our young leaders.

Having completed their full two-year rotation program, these 26 young logisticians are now moving into roles across core operational areas of our business within our Forwarding, Express and Logistics divisions.

Toll Graduate of the Year

Presented by Thomas Knudsen, Managing Director, Benjamin Yeo has been awarded Toll’s Graduate of the year for our 2018 intake.

Benjamin is highly regarded by all his rotation managers and successfully brought the various teams through the challenges, earning him the recognition and support from his teammates on the ground. Benjamin is always keen to learn new things and geared for a challenge.

Recounting his experience working with Ben on a change management project, Scott Cameron, Manager Marine Assurance and Deputy DPA of the Toll Tasmania Shipping team, said, “On all accounts Ben upheld a firm position on the advantages of the change, and demonstrated true leadership through competent and collaborative discussions with the workforce”.

Benjamin is a Singapore graduate and has since accepted a role as Operations Manager for a key account in Singapore.

About the Toll Graduate Program

Commencing in 2017 and extending our parameters to various parts of Asia, including Malaysia, Thailand in 2019, the Toll Graduate initiative has seen 35 Toll Graduates through the Toll divisions with the opportunity to work in other geographies across our Toll network such as China, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore and various parts of the ANZ. With another 47 Toll Graduates halfway through or commencing soon, Toll continues to nurture our budding leaders as they launch their careers in logistics.
