Driver Reviver Ormeau

Driver Reviver employees, Toll employees, the local police, members of the Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland) and other volunteers recently came together to celebrate Ormeau Driver Reviver site coordinators Mary and Barry McGrath’s 25 years of service.

Ormeau, located approximately halfway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, has been welcoming weary travellers with a warm beverage and a smile since 1993 when Mary and Barry took on their roles as coordinators for the service.

The celebration allowed all the volunteers to be acknowledged for their role in keeping the roads safe, while the McGraths were presented with a plaque recognising their fantastic contribution.

The site operates during school and Queensland public holiday periods with tea, coffee, soft drink and biscuits available.
