Using our diverse freight transport services and connected global network, we were able to deliver an important shipment from Spain to the United States for a leading engineering and manufacturing client.
Our customer – a leading engineering and manufacturing company – requested that a collection of large filtration systems be transported from Aranzazu, Spain, to South Carolina in the United States.
Weighing 30 tonnes each, the filtration systems would require a specialised transport solution capable of accommodating heavy, oversized freight.
Toll went to work immediately, using our extensive global network to arrange the successful transfer of the oversized cargo.
Our teams in France and the United States collaborated to carefully plan the route, which began in Spain where the filtration systems were manufactured. From the factory, they were taken by truck from Aranzazu to the port in Valencia.
The 76 tonne load was then placed into two 40-foot flat rack containers and loaded onto a ship bound for the US. Throughout the course of the 7,000km journey across the North Atlantic Ocean, Toll monitored the shipment closely to ensure its smooth transit.
After 30 days at sea, the ship came into port at Savannah, Georgia where the US Toll team was waiting to receive the cargo.
Through excellent cooperation and communication between the Toll teams in France and the United States, we were able to utilise both overland and marine logistics to successfully transfer of the large, heavy filtration systems between continents.
