that their jointly owned rail investment, Pacific National,
had recorded a profit after tax of $78.0 million for the 9

corresponding period.

Toll opens
its key QLD rail terminal at Townsville
Toll’s new state-of-the-art rail facility at Townsville welcomed
its first train from Brisbane last week.
Eighteen months of planning, plus 12 months in construction,
has seen the creation of this world class facility development,
at a cost of approximately $20m. Construction will shortly
commence on a new distribution warehouse for QRX, train maintenance
facilities and additional improvements will take the investment
over $30m.

Issue
of Ordinary Shares: Shortfall on dividend reinvestment plan
Toll Holdings Limited, Australia’s leading provider of
transportation and logistics services, has placed 1.8 million
fully paid ordinary shares to institutional investors at $13.50
per share, raising $24.3 million. Proceeds from the issue
will be used for general capital management purposes. The
issue approximates the shortfall in the Company’s dividend
reinvestment plan in respect of the interim 2005 dividend.

Momentum continues
as Toll posts another record result
Toll Holdings, Australia’s leading provider of transportation
and logistics services today reported a record after tax profit
of $109.2 million, in respect of the six months to 31 December
2004.
Toll Managing Director, Mr Paul Little, said “the result,
which represents a 28% increase over last year, was clearly
of high quality and evidence that we are capturing the benefits
of the momentum which has been built in the business over
the past couple of years.

Pacific National
Half Year Results 31 December 2004
Patrick Corporation Limited and Toll Holdings Limited today
announced that their joint owned rail investment, Pacific
National, had recorded an after tax profit of $55.9 million
for the six months to 31 December 2004.
Revenue for the six months was $683 million, including a contribution
of $70 million from Freight Australia following its acquisition
in September 2004. Total revenue was $67.9 million or 25.4%
higher than the previous corresponding period.
